Do you offer services for both the household and business customer?

Safe & Secure Self Storage constantly strives to provide for the needs of both the household and business customer. Our unit sizes vary to accommodate any storage need. We have units as small as 4 x 4 (16 sq. ft) to 5,000 square feet. All available on a month to month basis.

Can I buy moving supplies from Safe & Secure Self Storage?

Yes. Safe & Secure Self Storage facilities offer a wide variety of boxes and packing supplies such as protective bubble wrap, tape, mattress covers, etc.

Do you have moving carts available?

All Safe & Secure Self Storage facilities have an inventory of hand carts and furniture dollies that may be used free of charge. If you find yourself renting an inside unit and need a push cart, please let the Store Manager know and they will be happy to assist you.

Do you have security cameras?

All Safe & Secure Self Storage facilities use video cameras as a security measure. Cameras are generally located at the point of entry and exit and other areas around and within the facility. The number of cameras and the type of system that is installed at each facility will vary based on the design of the facility. These cameras are equipped with a digital backup system to record on motion and information is stored in the internal memory for over 90 days.

Can anybody enter this property or do you need a PIN number?

Most of our units can only be accessed from the Main Office entrance in which only the person(s) listed on the contract can gain access. All visitors must sign a log-in sheet and present photo identification before access is granted. The entrance doors to the interior units are equipped with digital coding system which can only be opened by a security code that is assigned to each individual tenant. The code allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the facility.   We do require that all customers sign in with the office when accessing their unit.

What is a roll-up door?

Roll-up doors are the most common door in self-storage. They are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward, similar to the motion of a garage door. Roll-up doors allow you to maximize the usage of your space.

Do I get a lock when I rent a unit?

You can purchase a new lock at your local Safe & Secure Self Storage facility. We offer a variety of sizes and types of locks and recommend purchasing a disc lock to ensure the highest level of security.

Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle/tractor-trailer parking?

Safe & Secure Self Storage offers parking for RVs, boats, cars, motorcycles, and even commercial trucks and trailers. However, please note that space is limited and issued on a first come first serve basis.

What is a drive-in unit?

A drive-in unit is a unit, located on the first floor of a facility that gives you the ability to load your belongings directly from a vehicle to your unit.

What's the difference between office hours and gate hours?

The office hours are the hours of operation for the property. During these hours the Store Manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs or moving and packing supplies. The gate hours are the hours of the property, and when your unit can be accessed. If you require access outside of our standard gate hours ask your Store Manager for information about 24-hour access.

How far in advance can I book a reservation?

We give you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 30 days in advance to help you plan ahead.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?

An outdoor unit has access from outside. An indoor unit is within the building and will require you to go inside to access your unit.

What kind of security do you have?

Safe & Secure Self Storage takes great pride in protecting your belongings and strives to provide state-of-the-art security. We feature entrance doors with coded access equipped with automatic lock panic bars, monitored video surveillance, fenced and well-lit facilities and personal locks available for purchase.

What are the payment terms?

Safe & Secure Self Storage strives to make your storage experience as easy and worry free as possible, including paying your bill. Typically, our leases are month-to-month but we also offer the flexibility of long-term leases. We also offer AutoCharge. We can automatically charge your MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express® each month.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept several major credit cards, including MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express®.

What sizes are available and how do I pick my size?

We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate your needs. Sizes range from 4 x 4, or 16 square feet to 5,000 square feet depending on your storage needs. Determining the right size is easy with the help of our Store Managers who are trained to assist you in this process. Here are some examples of the units we offer and their typical uses:

10' X 20' (200 sq ft.)                              One-car garage Furnishings from a three or four bedroom apartment/house: Appliances, patio furniture, many boxes and extras.

16' X 90' to 64’X90’                                Normally for use by business customers that require the ability to increase or decrease their storage area based on a seasonal business. Also by vendors and smaller distributors.

 
  

How much does it cost to rent a storage unit and what are the fees?

At Safe & Secure Self Storage we pride ourselves on maintaining the most competitive rates. Our rates start at $19.00 and up depending on the size unit needed. Discounts and promotional are often available for qualified customers. Our onetime fee is $15.00 but may be waived under certain circumstances. We also offer low cost personal insurance to our customers at a discounted rate.

Do you have elevators to access upper floor units?

All Safe & Secure Self Storage facilities are equipped with freight elevators which ease the move-in process. Each customer is properly trained on the use and operation of the elevator and personal assistance is available if required.
